We will maintain the confidentiality of your personal information, and it will be used only to support your relationship with the leadership of your organization and the individuals guiding you through our programs. Your information also assists Strong Marriages® in providing better and more targeted services to you.

Additionally, internal practices are in place to help protect your privacy by limiting access to and use of your information. At Strong Marriages®, we allow our users to maintain control over their personal information while attempting to provide a more interactive online experience. We intend to send email only to users who choose to receive such emails. At any time, you have the right to decline receiving future communications from Strong Marriages® in any manner, including but not limited to information associated with this site, emails or newsletters.

How We Collect Information

There are three (3) ways in which this website may collect information about you.

  • The website will request that you voluntarily provide personal information to establish a better understanding of how your life experiences have impacted your relationships, especially your spouse or future spouse. This information may also be beneficial for purposes such as correspondence, site registration, membership, making a purchase, or online surveys. Information that we ask you to provide may include your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address and birth date, as well as other specific information regarding your life experiences and perspective on marriage in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, sexuality, and finances.
  • Like many other websites, the website may use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how our site usage. Cookies are small text files on your system used for keeping track of settings or data for a particular website. You may turn them off through your browser or set your browser to notify you before accepting them. We use cookies to store information necessary to provide a service or access into a site. We use stored information for internal purposes only.
  • When you request our website, we log your computer's IP address into our log files. Your computer has been preassigned a 12-digit number from your Internet Service Provider and may be static or dynamically assigned-this number is the IP address. Strong Marriages® uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track movements on the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to any other personally identifiable information by Strong Marriages®.

The Information We Collect

Strong Marriages® collects only the information needed to help strengthen marriage. Strong Marriages® suggests and recommends the use of the information you provide to the leadership of individual organizations. Information collected helps to implement our programs successfully and to fulfill any legal and regulatory requirements.

Strong Marriages® requests background information to assist your leadership as well as provide valuable research data. We do not use specific names and addresses when quantifying data for research. The data collected through the Relationship Survey and the Connect Assessment® helps to provide a snapshot of the user couple's relationship. Strong Marriages® requests information from both spouses or fiances in the areas of the family of origin, commitment to the relationship, perspectives regarding addictions, spirituality, communication, conflict resolution, sexuality, finances, and overall relationship satisfaction.

A highly secured password protected server stores the information. Information gathered from the assessment will be seen by organization leadership, which could be a minister or pastor, mentor, life coach, counselor, or group leader. Each of these individuals is aware of the sensitivity of the information and is educated on how to use the information throughout the program process. No other users entering the website will be allowed to see this information.

Responses from the personality portion of the Connect Assessment® are captured in printable form and made available only to the organization leadership you authorize, you, and your spouse or future spouse. Once finished with the program, the information gathered from both spouse or future spouse will be stored in a password protected, secure area for an undetermined amount of time.

Use and Disclosure of Information

Strong Marriages® does not sell or distribute the name(s), email(s), or contact information of any user to any other individual or group. Users can go online to check and update their profile information. Strong Marriages® does not use specific names and addresses when quantifying data for research.

Other Disclosures

Third-party Internet sites and services accessible through this website have separate privacy and information collection practices, independent of Strong Marriages®. Strong Marriages® assumes no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords, membership ID, or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online. If you post personal information online, that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. While we aim to protect your personal information, Strong Marriages® cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and we accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.
